Today, Tuesday July 3, the government started broaden our/their driveway at 08.00h and suddenly around 11.30h the men were gone, vanished. We of course think; they have a break and will be back. Well they didn't, around 14.00h Henk called the government to ask if they would finish it, they would call us back. Around 16.00h we got a phone-call back, they would go on tomorrow morning...

Wednesday we still hadn't see the guys from the government, maybe they are off due to the heat. The ergonomic advisor however did come for to the electric wheelchair. As advice he says; 2 months on trial, if okay then some adjustments have to be done to the closed veranda. Why on trial? Because he and the supplier both think that I am maybe too sick for the electric wheelchair, pain with bumps in the road etc. I have to be with the government for a bright color, if they don't approve this then I will get boring grey.

It's now Thursday, the government has started again with the driveway... enjoyable early at 08.00h, so I again could go downstairs really sick (our bedroom is next to the driveway). After a phone-call from Henk it appeared that they hadn't had time the past days, they had to do a few house-removals (correct word?) and there were some sewers concealed. The driveway was ready that same day, so we don't see/hear them anymore.

It's now Monday July 9 and you will never believe it, but at 08.15h the tiler rang at the door to tile the small piece on the floor of the toilet in the bathroom and at 09.30h he was finished and gone again. I just don't get it that this 1-hour-job couldn't have been done earlier?!! According to him they come tomorrow to place the toilet upstairs, the tap from the washbasin of the toilet downstairs and the tap from the sink on the bathroom. Should they keep their promises this time??? If so, then we will see that company tomorrow for the last time, because the work that has to be done after that will be done by the contractor (the company of the owner of this house). I am curious how that will go. But you see, if you put an organization behind it like SPD and they make a phone-call, this does more then when yourself had made a phone-call. At night before I go to bed, I go check the bathroom where it's been tiled and what do I see... the place where the toilet will be has bleu-like floor tiles while the rest of the floor has white floor tiles with a green haze over it!!!! Are does guys really that stupid???!!! The tub and the sink are of that real old fashion green, so the tiles are also green of color with on the walls once in awhile a tile with a yellow/orange/terra-like flower on it. You will nowhere detect the color blue and they put a blue floor tile on the toilet!!!! And because it is an open toilet (no doors) in the bathroom, you see clearly which tiles are blue and which ones are greenish. I really don't understand how these people think!!!!! It would be better if the bathroom floor would be tiled with the same blue floor tile, but well.. who are we!!!!! We have to live here and look at it, but that doesn't matter, it just has to be as cheep as possible!!!!!!
