Dr. van Montfort

Wednesday 16 January I have an appointment with dr. van Montfort here in the Netherlands at 11.15 hours for tests. We hope that the results are so that I can get acclydine and that the acclydine hopefully works.
Acclydine is made out of a certain kind of potato, it is a insulin like growth hormone. If your blood has certain values you can use acclydine, you than have 85% chance to improve. There are PWC's who, after a few weeks of acclydine, work fulltime again while they couldn’t manage household anymore.
I try to think `I'll see what happens`, but of course I have hope, I try to ignore the hope-feeling to for come eventual disappointment. I have already tried several things like APS, homeopathy, diet etc, but till now nothing has helped yet.
You can read here how it goes...

About a month before January the 16th I had to save energy by not making any phone calls and not getting any visitors. I couldn’t do this anyway no more, because I still get worse. I even can’t take a bath anymore so my mom has washed my hair the old fashion way a couple of days before the 16th. Laying on my stomach on bed with my head over the edge above a big bucket and so pore water over my head with a little can. Now that I write this down I realise it is has been 2 months already since the last time I have taking a bath. Luckily my nurse washes me on bed… so I am not that dirty and unhygienic.
Because we had to drive for an hour, I had to be awake at 09.15 hours.
Luckily we have a GMC Van so that I could lay down on the settee-bed. As you all maybe know, the cars here in the Netherlands are small, so the Van for us is big and luxury.
After we finally found it, parking seemed to be a problem. After all, you need 3 extra metres behind the car for riding the electric wheelchair out of the car. Luckily there was space opposite the building. Dr. van Montfort is on the first floor and there isn’t an elevator, but I could be treaded downstairs in a room with a comfortable soft couch (we had arranged this in front by telephone). So Henk carried me from the Van to the couch. After about 15 minutes Dr. van Montfort came downstairs. He asked me some questions, explained things and did a physical exam… which revealed that my intestines weren’t okay. I think Dr. van Montfort is real nice and friendly, he also talked and acted quietly. I now really have the feeling that I will be examined properly.
He told by the way that a lot of people had called the past days according to an article in the newspaper. He didn’t get it so he called to the newspaper to ask for that article. There namely has been a newspaper who has interviewed me for an article about me and my life with ME/CFIDS.
