Dr. van Montfort now will write a diet for me. It comes down to the point that I must leave these foods away (also the additives) and I also have to follow a rotation diet of minimal 4 days. This means that for example on the first day I eat beef, the next day fish and only on the fifth day or later I may have beef again, this also rules for vegetables. This also is for bread, if I for example eat a slice of bread with beef than I may not eat beef the next day for dinner, I than have to eat this the same day or after 4 days.
Furthermore he wants to give me injections for my immune system. He doesn't know yet how we are going to do this, because of me being so sick, he will let me know this.
I have asked if I maybe could start again with birth control medication and luckily I may. I just got my period again yesterday, one week too early. I started immediately today with microgynon.
I probably may not use some medications for example paracetamol. He will also check this out, of course there will be looked for a substitute.
03/31/2002: I am now on this diet for about 1,5 week and I like it. I have the feeling that my bowel works again a bit, so that I have less stomach ache, nausea, sickness and constipation. Because of this I feel nicer, every small thing helps. This doesn’t mean I am less sick or exhausted.
It’s a lot of puzzling to figure out what and what not you may eat, especially the rotating is difficult. But once you have a rhythm it’s easier. The first few days I had a terrible desire for coca cola, I usually don’t like cola and I never drink it. I suspect that it was because of total abstention of sugar, I used to eat regularly something with sugar in it. Those first days were the hardest… I desired for sweet things which I may not have and my bowels really rumbled. After a number of days you are used to it and you don’t desire anymore for sweet unhealthy things…. at least I’m not. I don’t use this diet for long now, but till now it’s easy to maintain.
According to a writing from dr. van Montfort the injection is called an EPD treatment (Enzyme Potential Desensibilisation). You get a natural body enzyme (ß-glucuronidase) injected in a very small amount… there isn’t set a date yet. Before, during and after this EPD treatment you have to reckon with a lot of thinks like no perfume, deodorant, smoke from cigarettes, wash with soap without perfume, you may not come in those kind of shops, no papers/magazines or new books because of the smell and so on. This because these things can reduce the effect of the treatment. I don’t mind al these things, because I don’t use them because of MCS. But there are 2 things I don’t like at all… you may not be surrounded by pets and computers for a number of days! It’s horrible that I have to miss my cats!!!! And without my computer I am bored terribly, how in Gods name do I have to come trough the day?! With all those other things they don’t punish me, but they do with this! I really don’t like this. Besides I can’t put away my cats and I can’t stay with my parents because my father has pigeons. The only thing that’s left to do is that my help cleans upstairs really good and that I then stay upstairs for some days without seeing my cats and my pc. I will truly miss my cats a lot, they give me so much cheerfulness in my life!
