12-25-2003: Finally we know why i have such problems with diner (warm food) since the last EPD-treatment in February. It seems I react to the Hepar-water and my food is being prepared in this water! Due to allergy for (tap)water we discovered in July 2002, thanks to dr. Tisscher, that I can only tolerate Danone Activ' and Hepar (see 'Dr. Tisscher - part 4').
Since that EPD-treatment in February I can't tolerate warm food anymore, just the smell is enough to have me almost throwing up. Luckily this reaction to the smell of warm food has lessened somewhat and so I can tolerate a little bit since August. Each time I had to quickly eat 4-5 small bites, because when it took a little longer then a few minutes I started gagging again and after that I just can't get anything in. I also got severe stomach ache and really nauseous after eating, even from those few small bites. This became so severe that for the past month I have had constant diarrhoea, while normally I have constipation. It also was each time a disaster what my mom had to prepare for meals. Due to that same reaction each time I didn't had much fun in food anymore. It also seemed that I was allergic to everything. The food didn't taste me, it had a nasty taste while my mom can cook really delicious. So I haven't eaten much since February. Around March/April we discovered that I could tolerate homemade potato-salad (made by my mom) and so I have eaten this daily for months... only that salad and a slice of bread. Of course at some point I didn't like that salad anymore and so we again had the same problem 'what in heaven's name do I have to eat?!'. Around August we again tried a bit warm food with again the same reaction as mentioned above, but I had to eat something so I kept trying each day over and over again. Till a few weeks ago my mom suddenly suggested to prepare my food in Danone-water. I liked that idea, at least I could try it so we did.
The food prepared in that Danone-water tasted well, it was appetizing and after a few minutes I realized I was still eating without gagging. A few hours later, as I went to bed, I realized I hadn't had any stomach ache and wasn't nauseous... I even didn't need domperidon for the nausea which I lately used 2-3 times a day! So all that time it was the Hepar-water! What is strange however, is that the little Hepar-water (about 50 ml) that I drink at night never caused any problems although I now also use Danone at night.
Meanwhile I eat better and more and it even appears that most food I thought I was allergic to was an reaction to the Hepar-water. I also don't suffer from diarrhoea anymore. Hepar contains extra magnesium and I think that's what caused the problem as I also use a magnesium-supplement. Unfortunately not needing domperidon was a coincidence, because meanwhile I need it again. But I don't mind, the important thing is that I can eat again without becoming sick and that the food tastes me again.

Now with Christmas and New Year coming I have to admit that I will sin... no diet for me during these days. With Christmas I eat a delicious chocolate dessert, which we call 'little sponge', it is so so bad but so so yummie. The ingredients are: chocolate (white, milk and/or pure, what you prefer), eggs and a lot of whipped cream. I do use however kerutabs! This are tablets which you can get from your gp (here in Holland that is) and thanks to this people with an intolerance to lactose can still eat a bit of lactose once in a while. Of course do not use too often! I use it only with Christmas especially for the 'little sponge'.
At New Year's eve I of course eat fritters (in Holland this is always eaten at New Year's eve). The fact that I will feel double sick I take for granted... but to me it is an acceptable offer once in a while.
